Foci
My focus has generally been on writing good ledes (WP:LEDE), which set the tone (NPOV, concepts) for the rest of the article. (Examples Im a little proud of include Beauty, Good and evil, Theology (lets see if it holds up)...) Along the way, I've written/edited a bunch of policy/pseudopolicy/wikiculture treatments, started those WP: shortcuts (easier to type than Wikipedia:Etc) and drew the informal mascot. In the course of partisan engagements, I codified the basic principle of Wikipedia:Civility, and started the push to persuade Jimmy to develop the formal system for handling disputes, though not in that order. I've been on the Medcom since its inception. I helped jumpstart cleanup, when there was just the overused WP:VFD. Among other things. I might (when the planets are in alignment) push for an NPOV committee —ie. a conceptual separation between conduct disputes and issues disputes, and a central abstract record for how particular NPOV cases have been dealt with.
Lately I've been just editing away silently, taking regular extended wikibreaks, and reading tons of Wikipedia articles —i.e. what other people have shared about what they know about particular parts of the universe. I've a growing respect for apolitical people, and I've gradually been letting go of the political mindset and laying off controversial topics. This naturally means that articles will henceforth continue to suffer from a localist (generally Anglo-American) bias.
