J.J. McCullough (born July 17, 1984) is a Canadian student and editorial cartoonist.
J.J. was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in the summer of 1984, perhaps one of the few to be born during the very brief reign of Prime Minister John Turner. He comes from a diverse ethnic background; his mother is a Dutch immigrant while his paternal great-grandparents were Italian and Scottish. The last name "McCullough" is Irish in origin, stemming from a distant relative on his father's side.
J.J. presently lives in Coquitlam, British Columbia, where his family moved while he was still young. As a child, he was taught under the Montessori teaching system for his elementary school education. He attended high school at Dr. Charles Best secondary, where he was valedictorian. After graduating in 2002 he enrolled at Simon Fraser University and is currently in his fifth year. He is studying for a political science degree with an extended minor in history.
J.J. has long been interested in cartooning, especially editorial cartooning. He currently draws the online webcomic "Filibuster Cartoons [1]". He also writes and draws for the Douglas College student newspaper, the Other Press and is a memember of the paper's board of directors. In addition, his cartoons have also appear in the yearly Portfoolio album, and the Canadian Western Standard magazine.
J.J. discovered Wikipedia in early 2003. Today he mostly edits politics and history-related pages.

Famous people J.J. has met include: Martin Short and Queen Elizabeth II as well as various unimportant Canadian politicians including Ujjal Dosanjh, Adrienne Clarkson, Carole James, Gordon Campbell, Svend Robinson, and Sheila Copps.
Countries J.J. has visited include the Netherlands, England, and Belgium. J.J. does not consider the United States to be foreign, and has been to more US states than Canadian provinces.
