These are the articles, pictures, and other contributions that showcase the polished result of the collaborative efforts that drive Wikipedia. All featured content undergoes a thorough review process to ensure that it meets the highest standards and can serve as an example of our end goals. A small bronze star () in the top right corner of a page indicates that the content is featured.

Henry James was an American-born author and literary critic of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He spent much of his life in Europe and became a British subject shortly before his death. He is primarily known for novels, novellas and short stories based on themes of consciousness. James contributed significantly to the criticism of fiction, particularly in his insistence that writers be allowed the greatest freedom possible in presenting their view of the world. His imaginative use of point of view, interior monologue and possibly unreliable narrators in his own novels and tales brought a new depth and interest to narrative fiction. An extraordinarily productive writer, he published substantive books of travel writing, biography, autobiography and visual arts criticism. (More...)

Changing views of spacetime along the world line of a rapidly accelerating observer.

This animation shows the changing views of spacetime along the world line (the dashed line) of a rapidly accelerating observer under the special theory of relativity, proposed by Albert Einstein in 1905. The vertical direction indicates time and the horizontal direction indicates distance, and the dots on the world line are spaced at regular proper time intervals. The diagonal lines show the particle's light cone at that time. The other dots are random events.
